July Favorites

Is it me or did just July fly by?! I cannot believe it’s August already! I’m kind of upset that summer is almost over but in a way I’m happy it’s August because there’s so much going on for me this month including doing extra work on the “Little Women” movie and then I’m heading off on holiday as well.

I realised I have never done a monthly favorites blog post so today I have decided to share with you some products I have been loving this month. Just click on the images below to shop the products.

1. Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation

I have been on the search for a full coverage foundation for weeks now and FINALLY I have found one. This foundation is so lightweight but literally stays on all day, love it so much! My shade is desert Y356.

2. KOKO Lashes style “Queen B”Any time I go full glam I always wear these lashes they are so gorgeous on and they go on so easily because the band isn’t too thick.

3. NYX Matte Setting Spray

Only recently started using this setting spray mainly because I ran out of my MAC Fix+ but for half the price of the MAC setting spray the NYX setting spray does a pretty good job at keeping my makeup in place.

4. Glamglow Hydrating Face Mask

Always loved the glamglow masks but lately my skin has been feeling dry just from wearing makeup all of the time so I have been using the hydrating glamglow mask more so than the others. I usually put this on my skin once a week and it always leaves my skin feeling so fresh and hydrated.

5. Clarins Hydraquench Cream

As I mentioned my skin has been quite dry lately so I was advised to use a more hydrating moisturiser and even though it’s on the more expensive side I am in love with it, by far the best moisturiser I’ve ever used.

6.  Alfaparf Milano Diamond Hair Oil

This product was actually included in the goodie bag from the beauty blog awards. I’ve been putting it into my hair before I blow dry it after every wash. It makes my hair feel soo soft and not to mention smells amazing!

7. Kevin Murphy Angel Wash and Rinse

Purchased these a couple of weeks ago and have been using them ever since. The smell is probably the best thing about these products but they also leave my hair feeling really soft!

8. Human + Kind Body Oil

This product was also included in the beauty blog awards goodie bag. I would rub this all over my body after every wash and it leaves my skin feeling so moisturised the next day. The best part is you don’t even need to use a lot as it spreads so easily!

Beauty Blog Awards 2017!

Hey guys,

As most of you know from my Snapchat stories and instagram feed, I attended the Irish Beauty Blog Awards last Thursday night.

The start of the night was a bit of a disaster when the taxi driver decided to drop Sophie my plus one and I off at the wrong end of Grafton street which lead us to trek down Grafton street in five inch heels in the pouring rain while carrying two umbrellas we had to borrow from our hotel. Eventually, after asking about 10 random people on the street where Lillie’s Bordello was we finally made it to the event.

However, we quickly forgot about our little disaster when we got handed our goodie bags which were filled with so many goodies!(seen down below). Before heading off to the bar to avail of the free drinks we decided to get a few pictures together especially at the magic mirror which we got way too excited about! After a good half an hour of taking pictures we decided we needed a gin and tonic. Near the bar some of the sponsors such as technic, tan organic and fuschia makeup had stalls set up promoting their latest products. There were so many sponsors and the night wouldn’t of been possible without them!

As the awards got under way,  James Patrice who was the MC for the night announced the winner of each category. Even though this year I only made it to the longlist I was delighted to see some of the other Wexford bloggers such as holychic.ie and itsaclothing nominated as finalists. Unfortunately there was no win for any of the girls from Wexford but you never know next year could be our year!

Overall, I had such an amazing night and got to meet so many lovely bloggers. If there’s anything that I have learned from this experience is that there is so much support for ciaobella.ie and for that I am so grateful! Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to vote for my blog this year I was thrilled to even make it to the longlist!

L.A Girl PRO.Coverage Liquid Foundation Review

Just over two weeks ago I purchased this L.A Girl PRO.Coverage Liquid Foundation online here. I figured that if I loved the L.A Girl Pro Concealer so much that I would surely love their foundation plus I needed a new day time foundation so I thought this would be good to try.  I purchased both the fair and nude beige shades because I figured I could wear the lighter shade when I haven’t self tanned and wear the darker shade when I have self tanned (view swatches down below). The great thing about this foundation is that it’s paraben free with added anti-oxidants which help hydrate the skin. There are 16 shades altogether and it even includes an innovative white foundation mixer to adjust and customise colour!

So on to foundation details!

Consistency

The consistency of this foundation is very light which I wasn’t a fan of mainly because I kind of knew then that it wasn’t going to be very good coverage.  Although the foundation does blend very well when using either a flat kabuki brush or beauty blender but I found that it works best being applied using the beauty blender.

Did it Last?

Personally, I would only recommend this foundation for day time as I have found it only lasts for up to 8 hours before it starts wearing off but it didn’t go patchy at all. I have worn this foundation on a night out but found that it wore off very quickly as it is a light foundation so it isn’t really going to last long.

Coverage

It’s definitely a light-medium coverage foundation which makes it the perfect day time foundation.

Product List: Peach Makeup Look

Hi Guys,

Hope you’re having a great week and looking forward to the weekend!

I recently posted this makeup look on to Instagram and gave a basic product list in the description box but got loads of questions about what else I used to create this peachy makeup look. So I have decided to post up a full product list for you all so you too can recreate it!

Brows

For my brows I used the NYX dip brow pomade in the shade brunette and then set them using the Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel.

Eyes

I recently bought the Carli Bybel deluxe edition eye shadow and highlighter palette  and I have been obsessed with it ever since! The quality of the eye shadows and highlighters for such a reasonable price is insane! Each eye shadow that I used is marked with a lip emoji down below in the picture.

For my transition shade I used the very first shade on the top row and blended this into my crease. I then went in using the third shade on the top row and also blended that into my crease to darken it up.

For my outer corner I used the third shade on the last row and blended that out to darken up the corners.

Lastly, for shimmer I used the fourth shade in the top row and placed this half way across my lid. I then dipped my brush back into the first transition shade I used and blended it all together.

For mascara I used the Catrice glamour doll volume mascara and applied my dodolashes in the style D115.

Face

For foundation I used the L’oreal True Match foundation in the shade golden beige. For concealer I used LA Girl Pro Concealer in the shade Porcelain and set this using Catrice translucent loose powder.

For setting my whole face I used Rimmel stay matte powder. For highlighter I used the champagne highlighter in the Carli Bybel eye shadow and highlighter palette.

Lips

For lips I lined them using a lipliner from in NYX in the shade natural and also used their matte lipstick in the shade sable.

So there you have it guys the full run down on this peach makeup look!

Much love

Toofaced Born This Way Foundation Review

I have heard so much hype about the Toofaced Born This Way foundation so couldn’t wait to try it! I’m never usually one for trying new foundations as I do like to stick to the ones that I love and especially since I find it so hard to find the perfect shade of foundation for my skin but out of all of my foundations I don’t have a full coverage one.

I first found out about the born this way foundation from watching Shani Grimmond on youtube as she claims this as one of her holy grail foundations and if you don’t already watch her videos you should because she’s not only beautiful and good at make up she’s also hilarious to watch too. Anyway, after seeing how amazing it looks on her I knew I just had to try it!

When purchasing I went for the shade warm beige which is the same shade as Shani because I figured my tan would be as dark as hers when I self tan. Truth be told, the shade matched perfectly to my tan when I first applied it which I was delighted about because there is nothing worse than having your foundation a shade lighter than your neck!

So now for foundation details!

Consistency

Even though it is full coverage I was surprised at the fact that it is a light fluid type foundation and because of this it blends so easily and doesn’t look cakey at all! What I love most about it is that it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin which is something I always look for in a foundation.

Did it Last?

Literally stayed on me all night! Lets just say I woke up the morning after going out and I could of easily had gone out again with the same make up on but I didn’t because I’d just feel disgusting if I did that lol. This really is full coverage as it didn’t budge at all and didn’t go patchy.

The Coverage

Personally, I feel that it does a great job at covering up the odd spot I would have and even though I don’t have freckles on my face I definitely think this foundation would cover them up if I had any.

In saying that the tool is key in determining how full coverage you want your foundation to be. For full coverage I would use the Sigma Flat Kabuki Brush and for medium to full coverage I would use a Beauty Blender.
